Table scraps

We moved from Vegas to Staunton, Virginia in June 2010. Prior to that move, I had a few pieces that I wanted to refinish for our home,
but thought it best to wait until after we moved.

One piece was an upholstered bench. It's quite lovely, now. I really, really like it. In fact, it's kinda hiding under the dining table so it stays pretty. We use it when we have dinner guests.

The cushion was an iridescent orange and blue stripe that worked with our previous decor.
(Oh, but the stains....)

I used fabric samples/scraps that were $1 a piece from a fabric mill in NY.
With $13.oo and a staple gun, I had transformed this bench into a piece
that can go with so many color schemes.
I used Scotch guard, too. Just trying to keep it pretty.
